The new campus of Wheaton Academy

New Home for the Academy

Negotiations were completed in June 1945, and the 34-acre campus of the Country Home for Convalescent Children was purchased for $137,500. The sale included the buildings and furnishings, as well as 25 acres of farmland. After some remodeling, the buildings housed classrooms, dormitories, dining rooms, and science laboratories, as well as housing facilities for faculty and staff. Some of those buildings are still used today.
